"You can't make me..."

So today, Hayden tells me: "I've been thinking, and I don't think anyone can actually make anyone else do anything. So I'm not sure you can make me do my chores."

Now for those of you who know him, you can probably picture this. He really was being thoughtful about it, and not giving me a "you can't make me" attitude, and it was really cracking me up inside. I explained that he still had his choice about chores, but not about the consequences...that what he chose would determine whether he got a reward or a punishment. Luckily he decided to do his chores. Yay! :)
